As promised, I’ve finally listened to the impromptu interview I did with Madhatter on our way to his San Diego Ruby Room concert earlier in May and here it is – 22 minutes of unedited silliness for your listening pleasure:

2012-5 Madhatter/Scrub Club records with Circus of Humanity and In A Day Development.

We were recording in the car, rolling along at a snail’s pace on the freeway with Kyle and Kenny (www.InADayDevelopment.com).  Kyle was driving.  Kenny was navigating and answering customer service emails.  I was giggling as we made wrong turns (and passed Normal St.) and asking questions to learn more about Scrub Club Records, the non-profit NerdCore music label which offers free music online (and gladly accepts your donations or sticker/t-shirt/pixel buddy purchases so they can keep the lights and ghettoblaster on).  I had never heard of the Nerdcore genre until the last year or two when my husband-bot started listening to nerd-themed rap music.  It’s not the type of music I would normally be drawn to but I really enjoyed the concert, the people, and the performances.  It was fun to meet S.C. artists Dale Chase and Service Lab and I found out I really like electronic music!

The audio includes info about the history and evolution of Scrub Club Records and their artists, bromance, nerd-talk, app-talk, Pink Boombox Burlesque, and unsolicited props to WePay.com from Hatter.

I hope you enjoy the experience!  I sure did.
